Staging your home prior to placing it on the market is a strategy that provides much value. According to the 2015 Profile of Home Staging produced by the National Association of Realtors, almost 50% of agents who represent buyers reported that staging did have an effect on the buyer’s view of a home. And 81% of those agents shared their buyers had an easier time visualizing properties as their future homes when they were staged.
How does this equate to dollars and cents? Well, 32% of those buyers agents also reported that staged homes brought in a 1% to 5% increase of dollar value to offers. Those agents who represent sellers reported that 37% of them saw an increase of 1% to 5% of dollar value to an offer for a staged property!
