Windermere Foundation set up a fund that is specifically for aiding those who have been impacted by these fires. The Windermere Foundation Wildfire Fund will pass on 100% of the donations designated for it to local organizations providing immediate assistance to impacted communities and their residents.

Methow Valley News shared a Field & Compass Limited blog post on their Facebook Page that outlined ways we can support the economy of the Methow Valley from afar. The affect of the fires will be felt by Methow Valley and Chelan businesses for quite some time after the last fire is extinguished. You can shop those businesses that offer their goods for online sales. Planning a fall or winter trip, when it will be safer to travel in the area, could help give a boost to the tourist industry in these Eastern Washington communities. If you are a business owner on the west side of the mountains – are there any products from wildfire affected communities you could feature at your business?

If supporting Eastern Washington businesses with your shopping dollars is something you’d like to do, below are guides and shopping webpages featuring many businesses throughout Chelan and Okanogan counties.
